ClutchMax introduces solid flywheel conversion clutch system for Audi and VW with 1.8L Turbo. This system provides 30% increase in horsepower and torque holding capacity with excellent drivability characteristics. Proprietary HD pressure plate provides a more consistent pedal feel, clean release and smoother load transfers between shifting engagements even at 10,000 RPM. Full face sprung hub disc replaces factory rigid hub disc for smooth clutch feel while reducing drivetrain shock. One piece solid 4140 chromoly lightweight forged steel flywheel is CNC machined and balanced within 0.100 oz for smooth operation and fast response at all RPM range.

Solid Flywheel Upgrade Unit:  A stock clutch set up on modern Audis and VWs uses a dual mass flywheel. Dual mass flywheels are generally heavy and leave a lot to be desired in terms of performance and durability under both street and track driving. One of the easiest ways to change the driving characteristics is to delete the dual mass flywheel and replace it with solid flywheel that is significantly lighter. Combination of lightweight solid flywheel, smooth full face sprung hub disc and reinforced pressure plate provides quicker engine response and better feeling clutch.
