ClutchMax twin-plate clutch flywheel system provides a drastic increase in horsepower and torque holding capacity with excellent drivability characteristics. Many new features of unique twin-plate clutch design provide positive attributes. Two 240mm full faced discs are used in conjunction with a pressure plate and a mid-plate, thereby providing additional friction area for 100% increased torque capacity. Proprietary designed pressure plate provides more consistent pedal feel, clean release and smoother load transfers between shifting engagements even at 9,000 RPM. One-piece solid 4140 chromoly forged steel flywheel is CNC machined and balanced within 0.100 oz for smooth operation at all RPM range.

• Solid Flywheel Upgrade:  A stock clutch set up on Ford Mustang Ecoboost with 2.3L Turbo uses a dual mass flywheel. Dual mass flywheels are generally heavy and leave a lot to be desired in terms of performance and durability under heavy use such as track driving. One of the easiest ways to change the driving characteristics is to delete the dual mass flywheel and replace it with solid flywheel that is lighter. Combination of lightweight solid flywheel, advanced rigid hub multi-plate discs, proprietary mid-plate and pressure plate provides quicker engine response and better feeling clutch that's designed to handle more abuse on and off the track.
